We were really excited to be recognised last week during Miami’s BritWeek 2015. For the uninitiated, BritWeek has been running since 2007, originally in California – and it started happening in Miami in 2013. The event focuses on creativity and innovation so was obviously a perfect fit for us at TheGenieLab!
Our CEO Fredy Dellis has worked at the highest levels of international business and attended events including one close to our heart: ‘The Best of Wales’ hosted by HM British Consul-General Miami Dave Prodger where guests were treated to some of Wales’ best food and drink. As well as showcasing ‘Set Fire to the Stars’, a film about Dylan Thomas’ trip to the US in the 1950s, the meeting discussed how a vibrant and burgeoning film industry in Wales can inspire tourism to the country and an increased international profile. As a Welsh company by origin, we are proud to see Wales represented on the world stage like this.
During the event Christopher Gardiner, the Welsh Senior Representative of the Consulate-General in Miami spoke and complimented TheGenieLab on our recent expansion into the US market by adding an arm in Miami. It was great to have to have this recognition as we are proud of how the company has developed.
To cap things off Fredy event won the raffle at the event, picking up a bottle of real Welsh Penderyn whisky, which we expect he will enjoy!
Thank you BritWeek Miami, thank you to the Consulate!
